There is no charge to enter the HEY Business Awards.
Can we enter more than one category?
You may enter a maximum of three categories, but you must complete a separate submission for each and tailor your entry to suit the specific category.
How will I know my submission has been received?
Once you have submitted your entry you will receive an email confirming we have received your nomination.
Who can enter?
Entries can only be accepted from businesses whose base, or a substantial proportion of its business, is within the Hull and East Yorkshire area. Postcodes: HU1-HU20, YO25, YO26, YO42, YO43.
Is the entry confidential?
Information provided in the entry form will be viewed only by the judging panel.
When is the closing date for entries?
Entries will close at midnight on 29th September. If entries are submitted after this deadline, they may not be included in the judging packs.
When and how will I find out if we have been shortlisted?
All entrants will be notified by email or telephone within 7 days of the judging session, which takes place w/c 14th October.
How are the entries judged?
A distinguished panel of experts will meet to choose the finalists in each category. Each nomination is assessed by the panel against set criteria.
Following judges’ visits to the finalists, the panel will reconvene to determine the overall winner in each category.
When and where are the winners announced?
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hull on Thursday 21st November 2024.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is black tie.
Is there any discounted accommodation available?

I have special dietary requirements. Can I have a special meal?
We always try to accommodate special dietary requirements and request this information in advance of the awards event. If you need advice or help with this or would like to discuss any specific details please contact jane@heybusinessawards.co.uk.

I am a wheelchair user, is the event fully accessible?
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hull is fully accessible.
Will I be able to park at the venue and is there a cost?
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hull has a chargeable car park with limited availability. There is plenty of off-street parking or alternatively St Stephen’s shopping centre has plenty of availability.
